How We Met
We were both in band for two years together, but we were never in the same crowd so we never talked. My best friend just happened to be in jazz band with Brian's best friend, so they started dating. Naturally, we would meet because I was always with her, and Brian was always with him. I dont want to say it was love at first sight, because I was afraid of him when I first actually noticed him. I had a boyfriend at the time, but he got my number and called me on his way to work. He told me he couldn't talk long but "He was going to steal me and away from my boyfriend" He called me later that night and we talked for 5 hours, and thats why I say love at first talk, because I really thought at that moment that this was the person I was going to marry, and it came true!
The Proposal
Well, I would like to say we have a fantastic, romantic, proposal story, but we dont. Brian and I have talked about marriage ever since we started dating and Brian is not really good at keeping surprises and let it slip that he purchased the ring (not that I didnt know already). It was our 4 year anniversary and we always go to the same place for dinner, The Melting Pot, a fondue restuarant. After the waiter brought our the chocolate fondue, Brian pulled out the ring and said "I know this isn't much of a surprise, but will you marry me?" It was cute really, and of course I said yes!
